Friday & Today

Peter Cooper Jr.

After work Friday, I returned to ‘s place to discover that I had left my keyboard at work and that there wasn’t anything especially interesting around there to have for supper. So, & I went back to West Boylston to retreive my keyboard and go out to supper at PJ’s. We then went to Prof. Yang’s house (she’s one of ‘s professors) to watch a French movie (with English subtitles) titled Amélie. It was good in parts, but seemed to add random gratuitous sex scenes.

Wednesday saw little of interest. Yesterday (Thursday) night and I left for ‘s place to housesit for them as he and his family heads for Texas for his sister’s wedding. So, we get to live in a house for a few days.

And now I’m off to get ready for work.

So, I saw my friend and his girlfriend together, and they, , and I went to The Pizza Stop for supper. Was nice to see him again.

Also, I stopped by Boynton Hall to pay for my summer class in Adaptive Web Technologies. The course looks like it covers the specifics of a lot of web technologies, so hopefully I’ll learn something.

Now, I’m wasting time doing nothing in particular on the Internet. Like writing this entry. Now I think I’ll go play more FF3.

Pete has more fun & excitement

Yesterday (Sunday) we went to church, went to my parents’ place and played Pitch, went to my Grandma’s place and ate a big lunch, and then went back to our place with my brother and played other random games. Had much fun.

One particularly interesting game of Halo: The settings were Team Slayer (Ben & vs. me), 15 kills, all players invisible, 50% health, rocket launchers, on Chiron. Here were the final stats:

This morning we went with the Costa Rica team to the PIP Shelter to help out. We sorted through items, cleaned up and threw out a lot of trash, cut up cakes, and helped serve lunch. It was quite productive and a good team-building activity.

We napped in the afternoon, and then had over for supper (tacos). We chatted for a bit, played pool in the Campus Center, and then the three of us headed over to ‘s place to hang out with him, , and .

One of the greatest RPGs of all time

Peter Cooper Jr.

On Sunday I started playing Final Fantasy III again (It’s FF VI in Japan, but I’m playing the American version). For those not familiar, it’s an RPG that was on the Super Nintendo ages ago. It has a bunch of great characters, a great plot, and some great lines. It really brings you in and throws you some curveballs. I’ve played it before, but always got to busy with other things to finish it and ended up forgetting what it was I was supposed to be doing in it. Hopefully now that I’m no longer a full-time student, I can find the time to go through it all. It’s long. I’m playing it on an emulator on my computer, but since I own the physical game cartridge as well I doubt anyone minds.

Pete’s been busy

Wow. I start working full-time and then my posts stop for several days. Especially notable as I’ve tried to update every day since I decided to try writing in this crazy thing.

We went to church, then went to my parents’ house. I cleaned out 4 large trash bags of junk from my old room so that it can be an office for my mom. Saw my parents’ new computer. It runs Windows XP Home Edition, which is just different enough from Professional for me to not be able to figure anything out quickly.
