I’m guessing your inspiration is the possibility of a US law eliminating secret ballots when some employees want to start a union. Secret ballots are generally a good thing, so I don’t see the point of such a law other than keeping union leaders happy.
Actually, that wasn’t my inspiration at all, but saying “Secret ballots are generally a good thing” is interesting. What would you think about lawmakers (such as, U.S. Congress) taking votes in secret?
