Tuesday

So, I saw my friend and his girlfriend together, and they, , and I went to The Pizza Stop for supper. Was nice to see him again.

Also, I stopped by Boynton Hall to pay for my summer class in Adaptive Web Technologies. The course looks like it covers the specifics of a lot of web technologies, so hopefully I’ll learn something.

Now, I’m wasting time doing nothing in particular on the Internet. Like writing this entry. Now I think I’ll go play more FF3.

Pete has more fun & excitement

Yesterday (Sunday) we went to church, went to my parents’ place and played Pitch, went to my Grandma’s place and ate a big lunch, and then went back to our place with my brother and played other random games. Had much fun.

One particularly interesting game of Halo: The settings were Team Slayer (Ben & vs. me), 15 kills, all players invisible, 50% health, rocket launchers, on Chiron. Here were the final stats:

My team: 13 Their team: 15
Place Player Score Kills Assist Deaths
1st PC 13 41 0 76
2nd Jessi 12 30 0 45
3rd Ben 3 26 0 37

Today, we had my brother and Eileen (from WSC) over for our Bible study and had a good discussion. Was very good.

Tomorrow, we will be going out to supper with and probably his girlfriend. He and I have been friends since 4th grade, although we haven’t kept in touch as much since we graduated from the Academy and he moved on to Cornell. Should be a good time of catchingupness.

Work & Fun

This morning we went with the Costa Rica team to the PIP Shelter to help out. We sorted through items, cleaned up and threw out a lot of trash, cut up cakes, and helped serve lunch. It was quite productive and a good team-building activity.

We napped in the afternoon, and then had over for supper (tacos). We chatted for a bit, played pool in the Campus Center, and then the three of us headed over to ‘s place to hang out with him, , and .

Tomorrow we’ll go to church, probably to my parents’ for a little bit, and then to my grandma’s on my mom’s side for Mother’s Day.

One of the greatest RPGs of all time

On Sunday I started playing Final Fantasy III again (It’s FF VI in Japan, but I’m playing the American version). For those not familiar, it’s an RPG that was on the Super Nintendo ages ago. It has a bunch of great characters, a great plot, and some great lines. It really brings you in and throws you some curveballs. I’ve played it before, but always got to busy with other things to finish it and ended up forgetting what it was I was supposed to be doing in it. Hopefully now that I’m no longer a full-time student, I can find the time to go through it all. It’s long. I’m playing it on an emulator on my computer, but since I own the physical game cartridge as well I doubt anyone minds.

A weekend to relax…

Yesterday, I spent most of the morning and afternoon finishing my Logic homework (9 typed pages of math!), and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening preparing for and running my Magic tournament. We had 15 people show up for the tournament, and it was a lot of fun.

Today, I get to relax. We went to Shaw’s because Jessi needed some groceries and I needed to deposit the entrance fees I collected from the tournament (including the coins from one person who paid using exclusively pennies, nickels, and dimes).

We’ll be leaving in about an hour to go to a Prom that’s being held at WVCC by CA. Apparently, there was some female (whom I don’t know) who was unable to attend her senior prom. So, some nice people got together to create one for her. It should be a fun time. and I haven’t been to a dance in a long time.

Nothing unusual is in the forecast for tomorrow. We’ll be going to church and to my parents’ house for lunch. I’ll get to see the new computer they bought this week.

And Monday, I start full-time work!
